And the ultra marathon to save the Rhino.
Life in the Anthropocene is all about our global and individual responsibility.
And in some ways, I can not think about a much better and more current way to emphasize our individual and globally shared responsibility than the Kenyan Ultra Marathon taking place in 2018.
It's like all the other sports competitions ever done about the individual responsibility to shape and form your ongoing life and fitness journey so that you can endure and conquer that particular challenge.
But it is equally much a team effort, to better our planet and to save the Rhino.
As such it serves as a proxy for our own health, and our modern day pollution, the local and global poverty, the gender and class-based inequality, the competition itself, and the endangered wildlife and all the species rapidly going extinct across the entire world.
We are all responsible. Individually and globally.
And in that spirit, this ultramarathon is not just about bringing together runners from all around the world, it is also a marathon to save the endangered Rhino from going extinct, and to better the entire world.

[ Oceans run the risk of having more total weight of plastic than fish.]

And that is what makes the Kenyan based Ultra Marathon 'ForRangers Ultra' as much a race for the endangered Rhinos as it is a race for the entire world, and that makes it a perfect 2018 manifestation for our individual and global responsibility in the age and life of the Anthropocene.
Life will never work the selfish and blind way that people like Donald Trump proposes. That kind of wayward thinking where you willfully decide
to ignore actual cause and consequences of the simple reality we all share while you turn a blind, ignorant eye to the educated science that is trying its best to
properly educate and display the way life actually works will never leads us down any-other road than a short one way street to what we can only
describe as man-made Ragnarok. After all, that is the kind of thinking that propelled the entire world down the unhealthy road of the industrialization with all its pollution, poverty, inequality and health issues we are now facing. That kind of Trump-branded thinking is what created the age of Anthropocene and it is what has pushed Rhinos, lions, cheetahs and Tigers and many other species all the way up to and beyond the line of extinction.
But this race, as small as it might be in the bigger picture, this is the kind of global & individual initiatives that not only show us a better way forward, it is in fact, building that road forward towards a better life for all of us, you and me and the African Rhino. You can find a link to 'Save the rhino.org' down below, head on over, read up and sign up for that Ultramarathon, or contribute in any way that you can.
Doing a short quote in regards to the race.
Quote.
The race will take place between August 1 and 5 2018 in Kenya.
And it is made up of a 230-km route that passes through the heart of rhino conservation, from Lewa Wildlife Conservancy through the foothills of Mt Kenya to Borana and Ol Jogi Conservancies and the undulating plains of Ol Pejeta Conservancy on the Equator. Participating runners will experience raw nature in the wild. And while you are running you can expect to see not just rhinos, but also elephants, lions, buffalo, zebra, impala and giraffe, and perhaps, even leopards. Park rangers will show up at water stations, checkpoints, and other locations during the race, all while overnight camps will be available in the 4 conservations.
