Life in the Anthropocene
Page 10.
If a photo is a thousand words or more, then there could in truth be an endless stream of emotional responses to every photo ever taken.
Doors opening, worlds colliding, emotional responses, memories triggered, feelings left forgotten resurfacing, or new impressions formed.
Perhaps as such, a photograph is not just a frozen moment captured in time.
Perhaps it also carries that moment in time within itself, the sensory balance of what we felt, what we feel and see, the memories we create and associate to every little day and moment in the flesh.
Perhaps, even in the colors and the tonality, the way the highlights merge with the shadows and darker shades.
Perhaps it is a bit like the stars.
One man´s sky is a black velvet upon which blinking stars traverse.

When the silence speaks through the void, In the heart of the forest.
While for your neighbor those blinking stars are just a grain of sand from a distant beach of billions upon billions of possibilities, worlds, and emotional responses and visual triggers, experiences waiting to traverse the unknown to us.
Or from us to them.
One man´s tomorrow could for you, be just another day that abruptly starts with the alarm buzzing loudly in the morning only to end hours later with your exhausted head hitting the pillow.
But for someone else, that today which for you was so meh, might be when life becomes truly fulfilled, like if a door had opened to a land of vivid imagination and fairy tale like moments waiting to unfold.
A silly poem
[ When
the silence speaks

When the silence speaks through the void, In the heart of the forest
Where we once met
A creek still lingers, the firm entrenches of winter it fights.
As the freezing cold, claws it´s way towards its core
Soon
A silent slumber, it once again, dreams, in the still depths,
life inside waits to be warmed again, nursed and re
birthed in the creaking
of ice that breaks
